That’s never more true than when it comes to health and wellness. No matter how hard we try, there is no way to lose all that weight, to run all those miles, or to release all that stress today. Great things are not done that way. They are done by a series of small thing, brought together.
Marianne Robinson, Program Manager of the Faculty and Staff Wellness Program at the Ohio State University, sends out a weekly Wellness Tip. She recently reprinted a list of twelve small things we can do for health and wellness, taken from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. These small things, brought together, can quickly add up to greatness
1. Skip the buffet.
2. Do sit-ups in front of the TV.
3. Avoid food portions larger than your fist.
4. Walk instead of driving whenever you can.
5. Sit up straight at work.
6. Eat breakfast every day.
7. Ask a friend to exercise with you.
8. Drink 100% fruit juices over soda and sugary drinks.
9. Play with your kids 30 minutes a day.
10. Drink lots of water.
11. Choose a physical activity that fits into your daily routine.
12. Snack on fruits and vegetables.
